HULSEY LAW GROUP INCREASES PARTICIPATION
AND SUPPORT OF SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Support of the Special Olympics has been a priority of Hulsey Law Group’s charitable giving program
for many years now. Recently, the firm increased its level of contribution and support of this worthy cause by individually
sponsoring 100 athletes for 2008 as well as assuming the entire sponsorship for the Special Olympics Golf Team. Hulsey Law Group
founding partner Paul H. Hulsey said, “The Special Olympians have a special place in our hearts and, through our increased
participation and support, we give thanks for the blessings of our health and success.”

In addition to these commitments, Hulsey Law Group has created a unique opportunity for people with intellectual
disabilities to display their extraordinary artistic talents. On December 7, 2007, Hulsey Law Group sponsored
“Special Art by Special People.” Firm property at 68 Queen Street was transformed into an art gallery to display
the creative artwork of artists with intellectual disabilities from the Lowcountry. The display was timed to
coincide with the Charleston “Art Walk” and provided an opportunity for these extraordinary artists to display
their work in an environment in the heart of the Charleston Art District on a level commensurate with other artists
in the city. Paul Hulsey first became acquainted with these artists as a result of artist Eddie Gregory’s work at
the Special Olympics Annual Fund Raiser in 2006. The firm purchased Mr. Gregory’s featured painting,
“Fish and Boat,” and proudly displays it in their conference room. Thereafter, Hulsey and managing partner, Cherie
Durand, acquired several other paintings by artists they met through Eddie. They were so taken by the expressive
beauty of the paintings that they sponsored a special showing of these paintings at the MUSC Health and Wellness
Center in July of this year in order to provide an opportunity for the general public to become exposed to the
artistic talents of these creative individuals.

“Christmas is a time of giving, celebration and renewed appreciation of the blessings we have received in our lives
and law practice. The warm smiles filled with pride of accomplishment I received from the artists were the best
present I could have imagined,” Paul remarked. |
