HULSEY CELEBRATES 30 YEARS AS TRIAL LAWYER
On Thursday, October 6, friends of Hulsey Law Group celebrated founding partner Paul Hulsey’s 30 years as a trial lawyer. Friends from the business and legal communities gathered for a private dinner hosted by Charleston’s Grill 225. Lisa Duncan, Executive Operations Manager, presented Hulsey with a 3 x 4 foot framed collage containing news clippings and pictures depicting major events and accomplishments of his 30 year career as a national trial lawyer. HLG managing partner, Cherie Durand, presented Hulsey a crystal bowl signed by family and friends. Greetings and congratulations from friends across the country were read at the celebration. Brett Hulsey read a poem his father had written in 1992 entitled “A Path Worth Taking.”

The celebration included anecdotal stories and a slide show depicting events in Hulsey’s career. Managing partner, Cherie Durand, welcomed everyone to the dinner celebration and thanked Hulsey for his years of friendship, support and inspiration in their profession. She then toasted to another 30 years of practice and many successes for everyone in HLG to look forward to.

A surprise guest at the celebration was Lola Nightingale who had retired four years ago after having been Hulsey’s trial paralegal for 18 years. The firm flew Ms. Nightingale in from her home in Topeka, Kansas, moments before the dinner began.

“I am proud to have spent the last 30 years as a trial lawyer representing people victimized by injustice, fraud and neglect. My life has been enriched immeasurably by my family and friends who have supported me throughout my career and I am grateful to everyone in my firm and especially my partner, Cherie Durand, for making the practice of law so enjoyable and satisfying. I can assure everyone that there are many more challenges on the horizon for us to undertake in the coming years.”
